getting closer to the move

Only a few more days until we finally get the keys to our new place! I am sad to say that this move has been much more stressful than I anticipated. Not only because of money but because of everything that comes along with it. I imagined it would be easy to pack everything into boxes, load it up, and take it away but it's a lot more complicated than that. To reduce any type of chance that we will bring our roaches with us, we have decided to get rid of our couch and our bed. Everything else is getting bombed before it goes to the new place, but we don't want to risk the bomb not killing the eggs or whatever inside of the couches. So we got rid of them and tonight we are going to purchase new ones. I ache for comfort in Joseph that we will get through this in one piece, without it being any more stressful than it already has been.

My mother recommended that maybe we take Owen to her vet so that's what we did. He still didn't show any signs of improvement so he went to the vet. I took his x-rays and they insisted on doing more, seeing as how they thought he might have a slipped disk in his neck. However, they came back fine. Nothing was wrong with his bones or spine or anything. They tested his feces, tested for heartworm, lyme disease, and a few other things but they all came back negative. But after doing blood work, they found an infection inside of his immune system and a low blood cell count. So now he is on antibiotics and pain medication. I can't say he has made a full recovery but he has only been on the medications for a few days. He has another appointment on Friday to see if the antibiotics are working. I pray that they are. I am praying every day that he makes a full recovery back to his normal self.
